Choosing a rental car

Which car you choose from our range depends primarily on the level of comfort you want and how many people and luggage you have planned. For example, if you like adventure, you should travel the east of the country in an off-road jeep or SUV. You will never forget a trip to the Sierra Maestra mountains or along the south coast between Pilón and Santiago de Cuba. For round trips to the most popular destinations, such as Viñales, Trinidad or Santa Clara, a small car may be sufficient. Otherwise, mid-range cars are somewhat more spacious.

The pick-up stations are located at airports as well as hotels and other central points throughout the country. A 24-hour service is offered at most airports and some selected stations. The opening hours of most pick-up stations are usually from 9:00 - 18:00.

A special feature of the provider VIA rent a Car is that Cubans cannot be registered as main drivers, but only as second drivers. In this case, a car from Cubacar would be the best option. In general, it is only possible to select vehicle categories (small cars, mid-size cars, etc.). It is not possible to rent specific vehicle models.
